Unlocking Process Efficiency in Heat Exchangers

Published: 02 September 2026 | Author:

At Graham Hart Process Technology, driving operational efficiency, thermal optimisation, and energy reduction across the process industries sits at the very heart of what we do.

That is why we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Chemicals Northwest (part of the Chemical Industries Association) to present a dedicated technical networking event: Process Efficiency in Heat Exchangers 2026.

Held on Tuesday 13th October 2026, this morning session brings together process engineers, plant managers, equipment specialists, and chemical industry leaders to explore how thermal engineering choices directly impact plant efficiency, sustainability goals, and bottom-line performance.

Why Process Efficiency Matters Now More Than Ever

In modern chemical manufacturing and heavy process industries, thermal management accounts for a major proportion of site energy consumption. With rising energy costs, and strict operational uptime requirements, optimising heat exchanger performance is no longer just a maintenance consideration, it is a strategic business priority.

Small gains in thermal efficiency translate directly into significant savings.

What to Expect from the Event

Led by Chris Hart, Managing Director, and Charles Byrne, Technical Director,  alongside our specialist engineering team, the session will cover practical strategies and engineering advances designed to maximise thermal performance.

Alongside the presentations, there will be a chance to explore challenges with round table discussions, followed by lunch and networking.

Chris Hart (Managing Director)

With decades of hands-on experience in the design, thermal rating, and fabrication of high-integrity heat transfer equipment, Chris Hart leads Graham Hart’s mission to deliver precision-engineered thermal solutions globally. During the session, Chris will share real-world case studies demonstrating how tailored heat transfer solutions solve complex operational bottlenecks in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive chemical environments.

Charles Byrne (Technical Director)

Charlie joined Graham Hart in 1988 and is a Fellow of the IMechE. With extensive experience across design, projects and quality, he became Technical Director in 2011.

He holds senior positions across multiple engineering bodies, including Vice-Chair of the IMechE Pressure Systems Group, and serves on the boards of the Pressure Vessel Manufacturers Forum and the Pressure Equipment Consultation Forum.
