We have an amazing opportunity for a highly experienced and knowledgable Design Engineer to join our existing team. We are seeking someone with the natural passion and direction to lead, mentor and manage our design team. If you are looking for a rewarding career in a role with real prospects and career paths then please read on;
We design and manufacture high integrity pressure equipment for the Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Food industries. Our business is backed by more than fifty years of continuous operation and we have earned a world wide reputation for innovation, quality and great customer service. Our brand is recognised and respected in the industries that we serve.
We are qualified as Fit 4 Nuclear, Fit 4 Hydrogen and Fit 4 CCUS. We have aspirations and ambition – the same qualities we seek in the people we employ. We are also engaging in exciting prototype work and already have a string of credentials to our name involving upfront and live projects for Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Subsea etc.
Our designs are as bespoke and diverse as the range of clients we work with. We engage in FEED studies, proof of concept, R&D, pilot plant design and manufacture, reverse engineering etc. Our catalogue of projects involving design and build stretches into thousands of units with each unique unit adding to our vast pool of knowledge and intellectual property.
We have a visible and displayed commitment to the industries we serve and the associations and institutions who exist to further these causes. We are engaged on the boards and management structures of many different bodies linked to universities, trade associations and forums. Involvement, support and engagement are a key part of what we do, and we also seek to involve and encourage our employees to do the same.
As part of our strategic growth we are seeking to recruit a “hands on” experienced and knowledgable Senior Design Engineer who can lead our mechanical design function. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Senior Design Engineer will play a leading role within our engineering design function, delivering bespoke shell and tube heat exchanger projects for global customers from concept through to manufacture.
This is a senior-level technical position with responsibility for complex mechanical design work, technical governance, and supporting the development of other engineers within the team. The successful candidate will lead by example, combining strong engineering judgement with the ability to guide, mentor and support colleagues.
The role involves detailed mechanical design of shell and tube heat exchangers, including preparation of engineering drawings and performance of mechanical design calculations.
In addition to hands-on design work, the Senior Design Engineer will contribute to strengthening engineering capability within the business, supporting the development of less experienced engineers and helping maintain consistent application of design codes and best practice.
A list of the responsibilities are as follows;
Notes:
Our preference is for candidates to be located within a 30 minute drive of our headquarters in Bradford, BD10 8SW.
We are only interested in candidates with a proven track record of generating designs for shell and tube heat exchangers (and/or) pressure vessels.
